A wonderful way to start the year, we gathered to celebrate Australia & Waitangi Day at the New Zealand Embassy Residence. Typically Antipodean fare was a great cure for the chilly, January weather! Pies, peas and mash with the most delicious desserts.
Van Kleef Distilleries, Den Haag: a lively group enjoying an afternoon tasting cocktails based on jenever (Dutch gin). They have an amazing array of gin based liqueurs from chocolate and coffee to salted butter (butterscotch). The accompanying snacks separated the different flavours and softened the alcohol.
